Who Are We?

We are Christians that are members of the Church by/and of Christ (Ephesians 3:21; Matthew 16:13-19; Romans 16:16-17).  Not only believing on Christ, but striving to deny ourselves (Luke 9:22-26; John 12:25-26; Philippians 3:16-20; James 1:27; James 4:4; 1 John 2:15-17 ), thereby suffering for Christ's sake (Philippians 1:29; 1 Peter 2:20-23; 4:1 and 4:16). We are striving to live the Christian life according to the Apostles' Word (Doctrine) (John 17:16-21; Acts 1:1-4 & 2:41-42).

And we are not as many, even of the church, that corrupt the Word of God… 2 Corinthians 2:17: For we are not as many, (1) which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. (KJV) (See also 2 Corinthians 4:1-5)
 
Definition: (1) which corrupt 2585  kapeleuo (kap-ale-yoo'-o);from kapelos (a huckster); to retail, i.e. (by implication) to adulterate (figuratively): KJV—corrupt 1) to be a retailer, to peddle 2) to make money by selling anything a) to get sordid gain by dealing in anything, to do a thing for base gain b) to "trade" (traffic) in the word of God; to try to get base gain by teaching divine truth c) to corrupt; peddlers were in the habit of adulterating their commodities for the sake of gain.
